Animate CIC is a Plymouth-based theatre company focused on making high-quality theatre by putting inclusivity and accessibility at the centre. We create new theatre opportunities to those who may not ordinarily be able to gain access to them. Alongside our professional projects, through workshops and our Evolve programme, we teach a variety of skills to enable those to be more confident as well as develop transferrable qualities. Working with professional artists, directors, writers and volunteers, we have built a thriving community of individuals with the shared goal of making accessibility a creative element so our art can truly be inclusive.

Tickets are free, we also accept optional donations. We are a CIC and all of our products are funded by charity funding or raising money from putting on our shows.

We try to be as inclusive as possible so if there are any access requirements we can be aware of, let us know before the show at animatetheatre@gmail.com. The space is wheelchair accessible and we have fidget toys and ear defenders available as well as a quiet break out space.

There will be use of stage lighting and sound but do not anticipate this being overly loud. Our members do love to add lib so be prepare for some possible audience interaction!!
