A Doll's Ship
Last summer, Animate Theatre produced a piratical take on Henrik Ibsen's well-known play, A Doll's House. We explored this 19th Century classic through the lens of disability, touching on themes of power and control. And just for good measure, did we mention it's a Pirate version! Endeavour, We Shall Win
Endeavour, We Shall Win is a short, poignant film focusing on Plymouth in World War One. It looks at the naivety of the young men who signed up to war and the devastation WW1 had for the families and communities in the area. The film also looks at how life changed drastically for a generation back home and how people coped with so many soldiers returning with disabilities, both mentally and physically. Directed by Kate Boundy. Supported by Freelance Productions CIC. Click here to watch Endeavour, We Shall Win.
